This movie did not meet my expectations. The cartoon series was WAYYYY better than this movie. Overall this movie is 5/10 from my part but the cartoon series is 20/10 from my view.
I loved it i hope the next one is going to be just as awesome, always hate the part where you have to wait for them to make the next one though... and they have to take their sweet time putting it out... I watched the anime series of this movie that was on tv, which was also awesome. (just saying) xD So for one i already know most of whats going to happen next for two it will be awesome. xD
Being a bit exaggerated here, but this movie could be a trailer for the big one. I mean, an hour and 36 mins? It should be around 2.5-3 hrs. The whole movie is way too rushed and, although I haven't seen the series everybody's talking about, havent heard anything about this before, but I could feel that so many things were left out, important things! Everything is unfinished in this movie, character development, if there's any... "battle scenes".... And the actors are just not strong enough... This should be an epic movie! Should be there with The Lord of the Rings.... Star Wars.... Can't say I'm disappointed, cos only randomly chose to watch it, didn't have expectations... But at least I got to know that something like this exists, I mean the whole concept and story.... And I must say that the idea... the world and nations of the four elements and the avatar..... It's purely mesmerizing and wonderful!
M Knight ruined a perfectly good series in the Avatar, missing a lot of important key points in this film, I feel this film has been rushed and a lot of thought never went into it, if there is going to be a sequel they better think of finding someone else to direct this film and they better step it up too because this was just pathetic. 1/10
I agree, Shyamalan took what is arguably one of the best made american animations ever and reduced it to a bad sci-fi channel tv movie. I had to watch the entire series end to end just to get the taste of this horrible adaptation out of mouth. The acting sucked. Its lead roles were horribly performed. Inaccurate characterizations ABOUND. The only two who were even remotely reminiscent of their animated counterparts were Appa and Momo.
This movie was horrible. Aang and Sokka's names were pronounced wrong, it went nothing like the original story, and M.night tried to put to much in the 1 movie. The bending was bad. With all that dancing you would have been died. And fire benders are suppose to produce fire from the sun, not manipulate the fire around them.
This guy needs to take a vacation, makes sick movie with ugly characters like him. No one should watch this movie, or any movie this fool created!!! I wasted my time
Average chosen 1 scenario with added sorcery and faux spirituality thrown into the mix,,the fact i watched it all the way through is possibly the best endorsement i cud give this....6.7/10
Who let's this guy continue to make movies? In my opinion he ruined a potentially incredible movie. Maybe if I never watched the series it would be alright, however I feel far too betrayed by this dismal creation.
just watched the movie in 3d at the cinema had high expectations and was totllay disapointed m knight had the story laid out for him and he totally ignored key points or changed it
it was boring and slow i like kids flicks and this may not have been for 5 year olds but still i didnt like it i tried 4 times to make it thru but zzzzzzzzzz
