PRIEST, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller, is set in an alternate world -- one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church. When his niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on a quest to find her before they turn her into one of them. He is joined on his crusade by his niece\'s boyfriend, a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess who possesses otherworldly fighting skills..
Not as good as I had hoped, could have been alot better.
I wish they would take a little more time and effort to make movies nowadays but they just pump em out as fast as they can to make a profit, this had real potential to be an epic movie too not that it was terrible but it should have been treated much better then this.
movie was pretty decent 4/5 , also i noticed that some ppl mention thinga about other vamp movies and i have to say twilight saga was trash gay sparkly vampires arent cool and have ruined the vampire movie scene we dont need romantic nonsence in the vampire movies some love here and there but basing a vampire movie on romance and fighting over a girl a vampire falls in love with is trash plz stop changing the direction of good vampire movies!!!
ok, i'll admit it was good action and a decent story.....but....whats with bodies being hurled 50-60 ft through the air, and just getting back up like nothing happened? whats wrong with just getting punched out and falling to the ground? guys are falling off, speeding out of control trains...and getting up like nothing? hollywood...you can still make a good movie by being half assed realistic.
why does this ppl are allways srewin' wiht the vampires storys... damn, this new vampires movies are wallways bringin' us terrible movies...look ate blade's movies, the first was the only one worth watchin, all the others, total sucks... than, tha twilight saga, i that saga they made vampires a good creature! dude, listen to me... why do you romanticizes the vampire? another deception... and than came the "daybreakers", interesting story, but not that convincing... and now this! terrible movie about vampires... if those creatures are vampires, than, i never knew what they were ...i used to love vampires movies, but now... with this crap movies?... damn, they messed up real bad lol
Not a fan of the genre but this was a very well made film. I haven't watched a vamp movie in years but I will be looking out for the sequel to this one. 5/5 Some one made a comment below me that the film felt incomplete. I felt this way as well but it is not made as a stand alone. It is made, in my opinion, with the idea of several sequels in mind.
i cant play this movie, everytime i click on the human check it just loops back to the same human check page. can anyone help me with suggestions. I never had problems with vidreel nor xtshare, but now i can play movies in none of them :(
All the quality versions of this movie that are currently available are pretty lacking and leave much to be desired. I am sure that a better quality one will be uploaded as soon as they can. Like all the movies on here, if you don't like the quality, you just have to wait a while until better is uploaded.
i seen this in theatres, and really enjoyed this movie... 10 / 10 from me... why... simple... FINALLY someone got VAMPIRES RIGHT.... to all you edward fans... but im sorry... there is NO SUCH THING as a GOOD vampire... vamps are demons.... 30 days of night prtrayed that and this movie portrayed it more... they dont form clans, houses, councils ect ect ect... vamps only care about one thing... you being dinner... this is why i loved this movie... the acting was great... the concept very refreshing... special effects great ( i just bet the catholic church loves this movie thinking " finally something that makes our priests look good" ... lols ) anyway... i been waitin for a good SLAYER vs VAMP movie... and its obvious there is gonna be sequels... which i pray there is... definately with the watch
Priest - 8/10 Stars Great Action and Thriller/Horror Movie
I loved this movie. There may be some complaints from people about the quality of the film so I can't comment on the quality of the links so I'll stick to my opinion on the movie. I went to go see this one in theaters and I honestly believe it was worth the ticket and gladly support it with a bit of cash from my overstressed purse.
There was plenty of action in it for anyone that is just into seeing fight scenes and it has a bit of horror for those into the gory, bloody films (although there isn't quite THAT much blood and leaves some things to the imagination). I guess it depends as it's all relative on how much is too much. The way that it was shot really gave it that desolate feeling and the time that it's set in seems very steampunkish which is something that I enjoyed about it - an entirely new and different world. If you are looking for anything resembling this time period then just stop. It's better to watch this movie with no expectations as you'll find a lot of contradicting items- for instance the highly industrialized city and the towns along the outskirts that resemble something from the wild west but they all ride high tech motorcycles.
I loved the vampires in this movie because they were completely different than what you would think a vampire is. I sometimes hate the cliched modern humanized vampire and how they are romanticized by writers and the general pubic. These vampires are exactly what they appear to be, blood thirsty, pitiless, ravaging monsters that have the need and unquestionable desire to destroy and feed on anyone that gets in their path. There is absolutely no grey line with these vampires so it was a refreshing change of pace.
I have never seen the comic so maybe I went into this with less expectations than those that have. I really dislike reading something and then watching the dramatized version because we should all realize by now that nothing is going to be the same besides the general premise. That's all one can really expect with these types of things. So I went in with a clear head and unbiased opinions. The priest idea was great and something new and exciting although I fail to see how only 6 priests could combat an army of vampires in a "war". Perhaps there were more and they were killed off or died off but that just seemed unrealistic - in an unrealistic world. Hehe.
Someone likened it to The Matrix and the only way I could make any comparison with that is the ending fight scene between the protagonist and antagonist. That was as similar as it got. There were some slow points where I feel that it didn't really propel the story line and I was left wishing that they would just cut things to the quick. I would call it a little bit of fluff drama scenes that is meant to make us sympathize and bond with the main and supporting characters but I was left bored through those.
Despite the fluff scenes I have to say that I enjoyed the movie. I don't go to movies to analyze every little thing. I go for the pure enjoyment of the fantastical world that screenwriters and directors create - a world to escape to for an hour or two. If you like action with a bit of horror/thriller mixed then I say check this out for yourself. I have to honestly say that I would wait for a better version of the link to come out instead of settling for a low-quality one. This is nothing against the people that work for this site because I think they do a great job of finding these links for us - to save us the hassle. I just think if you're going to watch a movie like this then you really need to have a good view of it to get a true appreciation of it.
great movie! people if u dont like the movie why bother putting a negative comment? yeah i know its based of a comic book..i mean they cant make it exactly like the comic cuz that would take forever...just saying.
if you put the adverts on mute they stay on mute and you can enjoy all the way through. very rarely I reload the page or close it and open it again if there are the rare adds without volume functions. sometimes you need to watch 1-2 adds first till the volume control becomes accessible. Vidreel works well once you know the inns and outs. Happy Viewing.
slow and saucy meets hypnotic and cheesy, over all high quality b movie, yet with A movie over tones....very like-able if your able to give it a chance
It had some action moments but its not what i expected it to be. The actors were ok and plot was a little confusing at first. @Novak the last so called fight wasn't the final boss ;) the boss is the queen of them if u had noticed from the part he was telling his story. But anyways the fact is that they could have done a better job to it.. thats my opinion. 4/10
I was seriously disapointed by this movie... not that much action and the action is not even great ! Don't let me talk about THE "Badass Boss", cauz its way too pathetic.
I waited a long time to see this one !! After seeing most of the advertising and the hype , well I came to the conclusion that by watching the ads I had seen the whole movie already !! Hope they do better with the sequels !!!
